A Rachael Matthews bespoke commission starts with a blank piece of paper and ends with a table that exists nowhere else in the world. The size, the shape, the base design, the finish — everything is decided by you, guided by us, and made to a standard that will last a lifetime.

YOUR COLOUR
The finish is where a bespoke commission becomes truly personal. Matthew hand-applies every coat — colour stain, base coats, and a protective lacquer top coat built up in layers — until the depth and tone are exactly right.
We work from paint swatches, fabric samples, interior design specifications or simply a photograph of your room. If you're not sure where to start, send us a picture and we'll help you find your colour.
From natural light oak to deep ebonised, warm walnut, soft grey and charcoal — or something entirely your own.

Your table is made to your specification and finished by hand in your chosen colour by Matthew — layer by layer, entirely by hand. We photograph it during the process and share updates with you personally.
